Types and Characteristics of

Major Copper Alloys used for Oil-less Bearings

SGO mainly manufactures Oil-less bearings using high-strength brass but uses different bronzes per application. We will introduce the most used bronzes with characteristics and their uses.

We have only introduced five materials that have been asked a lot, and there are many other copper alloy materials. You need to choose the base metal and solid lubricant depending on the working load, speed, and other working conditions of the bearings.

Aluminum Bronze(AlBC3)

Leaded Tin Bronze(LBC2)

Phosphor Bronze(PBC3)

Brass Casting(BC3)
