- No need for a separate lubricant by using solid lubricants such as graphite and plastic
- Good performance in boundary friction, high load, low-speed motion, reciprocating motion, impact load, etc.
- Various options for materials and dimensions in consideration of working conditions
② Disadvantages
- Unable to use at high speed without lubrication
- High friction coefficient compared to regular lubricated sliding bearings, which can cause seizures or shorten the lifespan
